DESCRIPTION:Café Conversations is a great way to practice\, improve and/or help you feel more comfortable speaking French with friendly francophones and francophiles who enjoy speaking French in an informal setting.  The group meets two Saturdays a month from 10:30 to 12:30 (be sure to check this calendar often). Have a cup of coffee and meet/greet fellow members for the first half hour or so with some small talk – en français (It’s all about practicing!) and then prepare to tackle the subject of the day. \nAn article in French (often with a side-by-side English translation) is read out loud en français by the participants to practice proper pronounciation and to check understanding of the French vocabulary and grammar. The article will then be used to spark the conversation. \nAll levels of French are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Please join the Program Committee in welcoming author and journalist Marcia DeSanctis to the Alliance Center to share with us her book “100 Places in France Every Woman Should Go“. \nJoin us on Saturday\, February 23rd at 2PM at the Alliance Center\, 1 Pomperaug Office Park\, Suite 301\, in Southbury\, off Depot Hill Road. \nMs DeSanctis book is a New York Times Travel Best Seller and is composed of essays\, stories and advice about where to go in France and why. DESCRIPTION:Café Conversations is a great way to practice\, improve and/or help you feel more comfortable speaking French with friendly francophones and francophiles who enjoy speaking French in an informal setting.  The group meets two Saturdays a month from 10:30 to 12:30 (be sure to check this calendar often). Have a cup of coffee and meet/greet fellow members for the first half hour or so with some small talk – en français (It’s all about practicing!) and then prepare to tackle the subject of the day. \nAn article in French (often with a side-by-side English translation) is read out loud en français by the participants to practice proper pronounciation and to check understanding of the French vocabulary and grammar.
