DESCRIPTION:Public Tours of the Hermione and Community Heritage Village\nFirst come\, first served. No reservations required. Priority access given to school groups during the first hour. \nCommunity Heritage Village\nHermione shipbuilding and colonial crafts demonstrations. 18th century Military drills and demonstrations; 18th c military encampment; Navy Band (schedule TBD).\n10:00am – 4:00pm \nAlliance Francaise of Providence \nThe ship Hermione is now sailing through the Atlantic and will be in Newport\, RI on July 8th and July 9th.  A number of events will be organized during those 2 days. The Alliance Francaise of Providence is part of that effort. One of the main events will be a luncheon on Wednesday July 8th from 11:00 to 3:00 at the Ocean Cliff resort. The place overlooks the entrance to Newport Harbor so the ship will be seen when it enters the bay at 2:00 pm. The luncheon will be a sit down buffet style. There will be music and a number of dignitaries are expected for that occasion. The individual price of the tickets is $45.00\, drinks are cash bar. Tables of 10 can be purchased for $500.00.
