Wine and Cheese Tasting

Once again, Joyce and Gilles are hosting an event. This time you will be tasting a selection of whites, reds and sparkling wines paired with cheeses and nibbles. A designated wine expert will be available to describe the selections. And you will be accompanied by live guitar music in the background.

Just nine people will have an opportunity to chat in French or English with Laurent. When you arrive, just tell the hostess you’re with Alliance, and she’ll show you to our spot. Pick from the menu and pay your individual bill. Pay the server in CASH

Picnic & Pétanque

Saturday 4:00–7:00 pm
Rain or shine, there will be a picnic at the Rousseaus’ including pétanque tutorials and warm-up matches. Hot dogs, hamburgers and surprises will be grilled for you. Just bring your own side dishes, some to share and favorite beverage.

Bastille Day à Southbury

Back to home base this year to Grace and Laurent’s home in Southbury. Festivities will be located in the cool lower level. Fun venues are available such as a hot tub and beautiful pool, all available via a golf cart. So bring a bathing suit and towel! French inspired cuisine featuring a variety of brochettes.

Pétanque starts in May
Once again, Jim Donahue and Terri Cooling will be organizing the games. Weather permitting, the games will start the first weekend in May.

Membership of $25 includes a celebratory party after the finals. Send your check to the AF office.
