The Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury presents “A Voice from the Congo” by Toto Kisaku on Wednesday, Septembr 21, 2016 in the Auditorium at the Silas Bronson Library located in Waterbury from 6:00 – 7:30pm.
Toto Kisaku is congolese actor, playwright, director of K-Mu Theater and recipient of the 2010 international Freedom to Create Prize for K-Mu’s production of “Basal’ya Bazoba” about the violent persecution of children accused of witchcraft. He will share the story of his life in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His socially conscious theatre work and the Cost of Freedom.
