This Friday, June the 15th, we will reattempt the showing of Day of the Jackal (1973). This film is in English with French subtitles. It is a British film showing a fictional story based in a tense period in French history when Charles DeGaulle’s life was in danger from ultranationalist extremists. Based on a mystery by Frederic Forsyth where we know the conclusion, but do not know how the plot will take us there. Special permission was granted to film behind the scenes at a Bastille Day Celebration and film inside the Ministry of the Interior. Strother Purdy will introduce the film. The film will commence at 7PM, at the AF Center, please BYOB. Snacks will be provided.
