Ciné-Club des Jeunes – Wednesday 12-1:30pm

September 16, 2015 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Bring your lunch and come watch this 50 min. televised version of the famous Belgian comic strip series “Les Aventures de Tin-Tin” from 12:00 – 1:30 pm. We’ll introduce you to the characters, and go over some vocabulary before watching the movie since the movie is in French and there are no subtitles.

Known to fans of Tin-tin by his pen-name of Hergé,  Belgian author Georges Prosper Remi’s comic strip artwork and style is said to have developed from his love of the films of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton and such stories as Huckleberry Finn, Treasure Island, Robinson Crusoe as well as the novels of Frenchman Alexandre Dumas (The Three Musketeers).

In this episode, titled “Le Temple du Soleil”, Tintin, a Belgian boy reporter, and his white fox terrier, named Milou, travel to Peru to help rescue a missing professor of archaeology.

RSVP is kindly requested by calling (203) 707-0710.
