Meeting on the first Thursday of each month, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, participants take turns reading out loud French classic authors and enjoy hearing and sharing the richness of the French language. May’s meeting is on the 5th and returning to its original location at the Bridgewater Public Library (see address below).
The group’s reading choice is entitled “Le grand Coeur” by Jean Christophe Rufin. Based on a true story, it’s about the fascinating life of Jacques Coeur, an entrepreneur of humble origins who rose to become an advisor to King Charles VII of France.
Since most copies need to be ordered from Europe, they will take several weeks to arrive here and so it is suggested that you order yours as soon as possible.
