Joyeux Noël Open House will be on December 12th, from 1 to 4pm, at John Lamb and Lawrence Tuchman’s new residence in Middlebury. Drinks and light fare will be served. Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited. RSVP with an acceptance is a must. Details on cost and location will be available upon RSVP. Call 203-707-0710 by December 8th to attend.
A traditional Buche de Noel was among the many delights at our annual holiday buffet held in December.
OUR HOLIDAY BUFFET will take place on Saturday, December 14th at 1PM at the home of Evelyne and Strother Purdy (34 Black Snake Lane, Bridgewater). We will need an RSVP by December 10th by email, Paypal, or by calling 203-707-0710.The cost is $25 per member and $30 for non-members. Come and share the holiday spirit à la Francaise in front of a roaring fire in a lovely country setting.
Join us in visiting the Crèche at the Abbey of Regina Laudis, in Bethlehem at 11am. It is a lavish display of a traditional Nativity scene.
LA FETE DES ROIS
Please join us in celebrating the peak of the holiday season in the Christian tradition, the commemoration of the arrival of the three kings with gifts for the newborn Jesus. The traditional Epiphany galette, or king’s cake, which dates back to Roman times, will be served. Secretly hidden in this cake will be a treasure that will raise its finders to the level of royalty.
Join us on January 7th at 2PM at the Alliance Française Center for this tradition. The price will be $10 for all that attend. Please RSVP by January 3rd by sending a check to ANWCT, 1 Pomperaug Office Park, Suite 301, Southbury, CT 06488.
